A massive fire broke out in Kadipora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday, while the fire tenders have rushed to the spot to douse the flames, officials said.
An official told that the fire broke out at 3:20 PM in the densely populated Kadipora area, engulfing several houses.
“The fire tenders have rushed to the spot to contain the blaze,” he said.
“The fire appears to have started from a house and spread rapidly to the nearby structures. As of now, the extent of the destruction remains unknown,” an official said.
He added that they were assessing the situation and that firefighting operation was underway. The cause of fire is being ascertained—(KNO)
