Manjit Singh engages Kashmiri Pandit voters in election campaign

Jammu, May 11: Continuing the election campaign in support of the party candidates in the ongoing parliament elections in Kashmir Valley, the Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu and former minister, S Manjit Singh on Saturday held a meeting with the migrant Kashmiri Pandits at Anand Nagar, Talab Tillo area of Jammu district.
The meeting was organized by the President of Baramulla, Dharam Sabha, Bushan Lal Mantoo. The meeting was chaired by Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh along with other leaders of the party, the party said in a statement issued here.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held regarding parliamentary polls to seek votes and support in favour of party candidates contesting from the Rajouri–Anantnag seat, and Srinagar parliamentary seats.
Addressing the meeting, the former minister informed about the policy of development for the migrant Kashmiri Pandit voters that the party wants to bring stability and sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir with the generation of employment and promotion of tourism.
The prime agenda of the party is to ensure honorable return and rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir Valley as per their expectations, he said.
He sought votes in favour of the party candidate contesting from the Srinagar Parliamentary seat, Mohammed Ashraf Mir, and the Rajouri–Anantnag Parliamentary seat, Zafar Iqbal Manhas.
The party leader said that the migrant KPs’ aspirations would be considered and accordingly and that the Apni Party is committed to work for their welfare, and upliftment of their living standard.
Besides, SC Wing J&K, President, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Vice President of Women Wing, Neelam Gupta, Senior Vice President Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo, Provincial Secretary of Women Wing Jammu, Shivani Koul, Publicity Secretary, Vishal Jotshi, Surinder Ganjoo, Raja Ji Ganjoo, Veer Ji Mattoo, Shuban Krishan Sharma, Varinder Ganjoo, MK Kaul, social activist, Vinod Pandita, Rajinder and others were also present in the meeting that was arranged to seek support in favour of the Party candidates.
