Jammu, April 30: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha handed over an appointment letter to Smt Sunita Sharma, wife of martyr civilian Sh Sanjay Sharma at Raj Bhawan, today.

The Lt Governor assured all possible assistance and support from the J&K Administration to the family of the martyred civilian.

Sh Sanjay Sharma was killed by terrorists in Pulwama on 26th February, 2023. The family members of Sh Sanjay Sharma were also present at the Raj Bhawan.

Sharma who was a bank guard by profession, was shot dead by terrorists in Achan area of Pulwama. He was shot dead by terrorists barely 100 metres away from his home in Achan in Pulwama when he was on his way to a local market for a stroll.
Following the attack, LG had condemned the “dastardly terror attack”, said the administration has given a free hand to the security forces to deal with the terrorists and “we will continue to combat such acts of terrorism firmly and decisively,” he said.
It is pertinent mentioning here that two days after the killing os Sanjay Sharma, Police killed two terrorists, believed to be involved in Sharma’s murder, in an encounter with security forces. Police identified one of the terrorists as AqibMustaq Bhat, who was killed in the mosque premises.
The other terrorist identified as Ajaz Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Trall near Pulwama had initially taken refuge in a house close to the mosque and was shot dead after security forces tracked and trapped him using technical surveillance.
