Srinagar, Aug 09: Approximately 50 schools across various districts in Jammu and Kashmir have implemented LEAD’s Integrated School Edtech System, marking a significant advancement in the region’s education sector.
LEAD Group, India’s largest and fastest-growing School Edtech company, is enhancing learning outcomes and building student confidence in these schools.
LEAD Group’s NCF-aligned Integrated School System, featuring an international standard curriculum, multi-modal teaching methods, and AI-driven solutions, is designed to help students gain a deep conceptual understanding of subjects.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Sumeet Mehta, CEO and Co-Founder of LEAD Group, highlighted the importance of providing all students, regardless of their location, access to quality education.
“A child spends 6 to 7 hours in school each day. Yet only a fraction of these students—those studying in high-fee schools in metropolitan areas—enjoy access to internationally benchmarked, multi-modal education,” Mehta said.
He said that nearly 50 schools in Jammu and Kashmir have already adopted LEAD’s Integrated School Edtech System, catering to the diverse learning needs of students, whether visual, kinesthetic, or auditory learners. He said over 1,000 teachers in J&K have been trained and certified by LEAD Group. The company aims to expand its reach to 150 schools in the region within the next few years.
Dr Waseem Hanief, Chairman of Solace International in Boonura, Pulwama, praised the impact of LEAD’s system on teacher effectiveness and student outcomes. “When teachers are well-equipped with the right learning resources, student learning outcomes automatically improve,” Dr Waseem said.
Asiya Yaqoob, Principal of New Convent School in Srinagar, shared her experience of integrating LEAD’s system into their curriculum. “New Convent School was established in 1986 and is today one of the leading schools in J&K. We had been searching for an Integrated School System that would combine multi-modal education, technology, and modern curricula to ensure our students were future-ready and confident; LEAD Group was the perfect fit,” she said.
Sanjay Singh, a senior educationist at Bhartiya Shiksha Kendra in Domana, also highlighted the transformative impact of LEAD on teaching practices. “LEAD has helped with lesson planning and has made teaching even more enjoyable. Their structured approach to complex concepts has significantly improved student understanding and retention in my classroom,” he said.
Through its ‘ELGA’ (English Language and General Awareness) program, LEAD delivers over 1.5 years of English proficiency growth in a year. LEAD students also benefit from national-level platforms such as the LEAD Student Championship and LEAD Masterclasses with subject matter experts and celebrities, which provide unique and holistic learning experiences.
Founded in 2012 by Sumeet Mehta and Smita Deorah, LEAD Group aims to transform school education in India. The company’s Integrated School Edtech System is available in over 9,000 schools across 400+ towns and cities, reaching more than 5 million students and empowering over 50,000 teachers.
