Kheer Bhawani: DC Kulgam reviews availability of essential services

Kulgam, May 16: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Tuesday chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Mela Kheer Bhawani at Manzgam and Khanbarni, Devsar.
During the meeting, DC reviewed security arrangements, availability of essentials, accommodation facilities, traffic management, medical facilities, sanitation facilities, besides the availability of power and water supply.
While reviewing the preparedness of the concerned departments for the Mela, the DC stressed upon officials to ensure devotees are provided all the requisite facilities for performing religious rituals.
Concerned from KPDCL and Jal Shakti were instructed to provide uninterrupted power and water supply at both the places.
During the meeting, the DC directed officers to maintain close coordination and ensure appropriate arrangements are put in place for the smooth conduct of Mela.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, SDM Noorabad Bashir Ul Hassan, ACR Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, A.S.P Shabir Ahmad, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, Tehsildar HQ, Tehsildar Devsar, EO and other concerned officers.
