Bandipora, May 15: To ensure safety and well-being of the residents affected by recent earthquakes, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan undertook a comprehensive physical verification of various natural calamities cases related to earthquakes at Surinder and Ayathmulla.
On the occasion, ADDC was accompanied by District Treasury Officer (DTO), concerned Naib Tehsildar (NT), and Junior Engineer of R&B department Bandipora.
The joint team, led by ADDC carried out an in-depth inspection of the affected areas to assess the extent of damage caused by the earthquakes. The primary was to evaluate the impact on residential buildings, public infrastructure and essential facilities.
During the verification process, the team examined the structural integrity of affected buildings to identify any potential risks and ensure appropriate measures are taken to safeguard the community from future calamities.
ADDC also visited Government Middle School and Sub-centre located at Surinder to evaluate the condition of these crucial educational and healthcare facilities. The team assessed the structural soundness of the buildings and inspected the available amenities to ensure they meet the necessary safety standards.
