Srinagar, Sept 19: “Jammu & Kashmir is the worst-hit given the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Time has come for people to rise to the occasion to defeat the BJP’s fake narrative, falsehood and designs,” Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Karra said on Thursday.
Karra, who is the Congress-National Conference candidate for Central Shalteng Assembly Segment of Srinagar, promised justice, constitutional guarantees and restoring statehood to J&K.
According to a statement issued here, the JKPCC chief led a massive roadshow from Batamaloo which passed through various areas including Bemina, Arampora, Barthana, PC Depot, Parimpora, Fruit Mandi, Qamarwari and culminated at Rampora.
The former Member of Parliament expressed gratitude to the people of Central Shalteng for their “overwhelming support” and assured them that he will leave no stone unturned to ensure justice for the people of J&K.
Karra addressed the public meetings at various places during the roadshow and appealed to people to come out in larger numbers on polling day and vote for Congress to ensure that J&K “comes out of the misrule and mismanagement” of the BJP-led government at the Centre.
