SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Friday announced the results of the annual regular examinations of the class 10th in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh, in which 79.89 per cent of the students’ qualified examinations in both the Union Territories.
A total of 1,48,701 students were enrolled for the 10th standard annual regular examinations 2023 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh. Out of which 1,18,791 students have successfully qualified the examinations and 29,789 students could not qualified. The total pass rate is 79.89 per cent.
A total of 77,422 male candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 78.23 per cent of boys students have qualified it, and among female students, a total of 71,279 candidates appeared in the exams, out of which 81.68 per cent of the students have qualified the examinations.
In which 13,823 students secured an A1 grade, 18,489 students scored an A2 grade, 24,147 students scored a B1 grade, 28,880 students secured a B2, 26,248 students scored a C1 grade, 7,133 secured a C2, and 78 students scored a D grade in the 10th standard annual regular examinations in 2023.
Only 70 per cent of the students qualified in mathematics subjects with 30% failing. In English Subjects 85.2 per cent of students passed with 14.7 per cent failing.
In the Science subjects 89 per cent of the were passed while 11 per cent of students failed , 90 per cent of students have qualified the social students in which 10 per cent of students could not pass this subject and 91 per cent of students have passed the Urdu subject and 9 per cent have failed.
In the Hindi subjects, 95 students have qualified, and 5 per cent of students have failed.
The Chairperson of the JKBOSE, Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, said in his official tweet that “Congratulation to all the successful candidates of Class 10th Annual Regular Examination 2023 from the UTs of J&K and Ladakh; Gratitude to all those who have been instrumental in realizing the vision of unifying all the academic sessions of both J&K-UT & Ladakh-UT,”.
