Srinagar, Oct 9: J&K Public Service Commission on Monday convened a meeting which was chaired by its Chairperson Satish Chandra to express condolence over the demise of former PSC Member, Choudhary Bashir Ahmad.
The members of the PSC, the Secretary PSC and officers of the Commission besides staff attended the condolence meeting.
Late Ch Bashir Ahmad served as a member of J&K Public Service Commission from 27.03.2002 to 26.03.2007. The speakers highlighted the contribution of the late member as an able Jurist and source of inspiration for others. His role especially as a member of the commission was lauded.
It was observed that he served the UT in different capacitates and left his indelible mark on the administrative landscape.
The chairman, in his concluding remarks, said that Ch Bashir Ahmad earned great respect and regard due to his friendly and polite behaviour and his contribution will always be remembered. The meeting concluded with the observance of silence as a token of respect to the departed soul.
