In its ongoing pursuit of digital transformation to enhance business convenience and improve customer service, J&K Bank has unveiled Cash Recycler Machine (CRM) for public use in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued here, it said that the inauguration ceremony of the CRM took place in the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri) Jatin Kishore, Zonal Head Kashmir North Mr Imtiyaz Ahmed, Cluster Head Mr Sheikh Muzaffar, Manager J&K Bank Uri Fayaz Ahmad, esteemed customers, municipal councillors, elected representatives, local residents, and other bank officials.
The Zonal Head said, “The expansion of digital and alternative banking channels in our operational areas, particularly in rural regions, has significantly reduced the number of visitors to branches.”
He encouraged the attendees to utilize the bank’s digital platforms, which he emphasized were fast, secure, and incredibly convenient for customers.
The attendees lauded the bank’s initiatives aimed at providing accessible banking services to the local community.
It is noteworthy that the CRM will accept and dispense cash beyond the bank’s regular working hours, including holidays.s
It is pertinent to mention here that this was a long pending demand of Uri residents.
