The Jammu-Srinagar national highway was restored for traffic on Wednesday after it was closed due to mud and lanslides following heavy rains in J&K on Tuesday, Traffic officials said.
Landslides triggered by incessant rains blocked the Jammu-Srinagar national highway (NH-44), at Ramban on Tuesday.
In a post on X, J&K Traffic Police said, “Traffic movement restored on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44). Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline and drive carefully. Overtaking can lead to congestion and inconvenience to all.”
In another post, it said that Man and machinery on job at Dalwas on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. SSG Road through for vehicular movement, however Mughal road is still closed due to snow accumulation.
