IISM completes first two water skiing courses for the Year 2024-25

Srinagar, July 21: Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering (IISM) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the first two of the six Water Skiing courses planned for the year 2024-25. These courses were conducted simultaneously on Dal and Nigeen lakes from 11th July to 21st July 2024, showcasing the dedication and enthusiasm of the 52 participating students who excelled in their training.
During the graduation ceremony held on a jetty boat on Dal Lake on 20/7/2024, Col IS Thapa, SM, VSM and MID , Principal, Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering, Gulmarg ,presented certificates to the students as a symbol of their achievement. In his address, Col IS Thapa emphasised the essential role of discipline in all sports, especially adventure sports, and called upon the students to strive for excellence, dedication and hard work in their endeavours.
IISM is proud of the diverse group of students from various parts of the country who participated in the Basic (41 students), Intermediate (10 students) and Advanced (1 student) courses.
IISM congratulates all the students for their hard work, dedication and achievements during the course.
