CCL Men’s T20 2nd Semi-Final sees 10 Bn SSB Srinagar secure victory over 13 Bn SSB Dignibal

Srinagar, Oct 13: In a heart-pounding clash at the Govt Degree College Ground, Bemina, the Chinar Cricket League (CCL) Men’s T20 witnessed an intense showdown between 10 Bn SSB Srinagar and 13 Bn SSB Dignibal in the 2nd Semi-Final match on Friday.
Since the inception of the CCL tournament, 10 Bn SSB had dominated the points table, securing victory in three out of four matches, while 13 Bn SSB Dignibal managed to secure a spot in the semi-finals with just one win out of their four matches. This semi-final clash promised a fierce battle to secure a place in the coveted tournament final.
In a dramatic turn of events, 10 Bn SSB Srinagar won the toss and chose to field first, putting pressure on 13 Bn SSB Dignibal. In their innings, 13 Bn SSB Dignibal managed to set a target of 135 runs for their opponents in 20 overs, losing 8 wickets along the way.
The response from 10 Bn SSB Srinagar was nothing short of spectacular, as they chased down the target of 136 runs in 19.2 overs, losing only 5 wickets. This thrilling victory secured their place in the final, leaving 13 Bn SSB Dignibal behind.
With this victory, 10 Bn SSB Srinagar is now set to face 14 Bn SSB Budgam in the highly anticipated final match of the Chinar Cricket League (CCL) Men’s T20.
In the first Semi-Final match held on October 9, 2023, at the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) Ground in Srinagar, 14 Bn SSB Budgam had already secured their spot in the final by defeating 2 Bn SSB Pattan.
The presence of Sh. H. B. K. Singh, DIG, SHQ (Spl Ops) SSB Srinagar at the venue added an extra layer of excitement and enthusiasm, as he witnessed the exemplary performance of all the players from both teams, making the CCL Men’s T20 an event to remember.
