Srinagar, Dec 25 : Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front (JKPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen Sunday  urged the center to announce a special employment package for the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir especially in central government departments.
While addressing a party convention in Kachwari and Watred areas of Khansahib constituency in Budgam district, PDF chairperson expressed concern over the grim unemployment situation in JK. He said the educated unemployed youth were in a state of deep shock and despair to see their future as bleak in absence of job avenues.
He has urged the center to announce a special employment package for the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir especially in central government departments.
Maintaining that politics was the battle of ideas , Hakeem Yaseen urged political parties to concentrate on welfare of common people rather than leg pulling of each other.  He said politics should be for the betterment of people not for dividing the communities and spreading hatred on communal and regional basis to satiating petty vested interests.
Hakeem Yaseen asked the political parties to focus their strategies towards welfare and prosperity of the masses and desist from exploiting emotions of the people on communal and regional basis.
According to a party spokesperson, the convention was held to take stock of the prevailing political, social and developmental scenario in Jammu and Kashmir with special reference to various khansahib areas.
The former minister cautioned the people against machinations of the political parties which were instigating communal hatred and dividing communities for vote bank politics adding all such nefarious plans need to be defeated firmly. “Our main focus should be to bring UT out of the prevailing mess of socio- political uncertainty and trust deficit,” Hakeem Yaseen said while urging political parties to rise above their individual ideologies for the cause of common masses.
