JAMMU, Mar 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced plans to establish indus-trial parks and estates in the Jammu district. Land for these projects has already been identified and transferred to the Industries and Commerce Department at various locations across the re-gion.
This was disclosed by the government during the Assembly session, in response to a question raised by BJP MLA and former minister, Sham Lal Sharma.
The government stated that land for the industrial parks has been identified and transferred to the Industries and Commerce Department at five locations: two places in Akhnoor, as well as areas in RS Pura, Deeli, and Exhibition Ground in Jammu City.
Additionally, four other locations in Jammu have been identified, and land indentations have been placed, although these have not yet been transferred to the department. These locations in-clude two in Akhnoor, one in Nagrota, and one in the Khour area.
