GMC Sgr hospitals conduct over 70k surgeries in a year

Srinagar, April 20: GMC Srinagar and its seven associated hospitals have conducted a total of 70,271 minor and major surgeries during the year 2023-24, official figures have said.
Spokesperson GMC Srinagar, Dr M Saleem Khan said during the year 2023-24, 24,73,282 patients were seen in OPDs; 2,28,239 patients were admitted while 70,271 surgeries were conducted in the seven associated hospitals.
As per official figures 24,73,282 patients seen in OPDs include 1,063,028 in SMHS, 208,192 at LD Hospital, 245,691 at Bone and Joint Hospital, 457,552 at Children Hospital Bemina, 152,186 at Chest Disease Hospital, 169,514 at Psychiatry Disease Hospital and 177,119 at Super Speciality Hospital.
As per figures said total of 228,239 patients were admitted and these include 107,589 in SMHS, 36,721 at LD Hospital, 14,416 at Bone and Joint Hospital, 28,723 at Children Hospital Bemina, 7,480 at Chest Disease Hospital, 1,779 at Psychiatry Disease Hospital and 31,531 at Super Speciality Hospital.
The official figures said that the 70,271 surgeries include 23,269 at SMHS Hospital, 20,891 at LD Hospital, 14864 at Bone and Joint Hospital, 2707 at Chest Disease Hospital and 8,540 at Super Speciality Hospital.
