Jammu, Jan 11: Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board chairperson, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Saturday received the Certificate of Honour from the Global Book of Excellence Records in recognition of her contributions over the past two and a half years.
The award highlights the transformative changes within the Waqf Board under her leadership, emphasizing transparency, accountability and enhanced public engagement.
The citation noted that Dr Andrabi has played a pivotal role in overseeing various developmental projects, which include the construction of Jamia Masjids, shopping complexes, guest houses and other key infrastructural developments in the Union Territory. These initiatives have been aimed at promoting the welfare of the local populace, particularly in the realms of education, healthcare, and social development.
“The Global Book of Excellence Records award is a well-deserved recognition for Dr Andrabi’s tireless efforts,” stated a communiqué from the organization. The award was presented by Dr H.R. Rehman, Director of the Global Book of Excellence Records, at Dr Andrabi’s office in Jammu, celebrating her commitment to uplifting the community through her work at the Waqf Board.
