Srinagar, July 02: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday urged the party leaders and senior workers to prepare for the forthcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat elections by intensifying their political activities and public outreach in their respective areas.
Addressing a meeting of the leaders and senior workers from Srinagar’s Chanapora constituency at the party headquarters here, Bukhari advised the party cadre to enhance its political activities and public outreach to remain in touch with the masses at the grassroots level.
The meeting was convened to discuss certain party affairs and to assess the performance of the workers and leaders in the Chanapora constituency, the party said in a statement. During the meeting, the participants engaged in sharing and exchanging their views to apprise the party chief of the current political scenario in the Chanapora constituency.
He said, “In view of the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections, it is essential for you to stay proactive in preparing people for participation in the democratic process. Also, staying closely connected with the masses will help raise awareness about the party’s pro-people agenda and policies.”
“It is your responsibility to help people understand that Apni Party is here to safeguard fundamental and democratic rights. The party’s primary objective is to secure sustainable peace, enduring prosperity, and development in the region, while also working towards the economic and political empowerment of its people,” Bukhari added.
