Srinagar, Oct 16: National Conference leader Agha Ruhullah on Wednesday said that the new government’s biggest challenge will be to fulfill the hopes and political aspirations of the people as it prepares to take charge.
He said that despite some internal discussions among allies, the government will work in unity to achieve its objectives.
“It is their own internal decision whether they will take ministerial positions or not,” he said, referring to concerns about discontent among some allies, including Congress.
He also said that the government will work with the alliance, and they will fulfill the objectives they have set. “We hope all partners will support the government’s efforts.”
He also said that India Alliance is working for the return of secular and democratic values in Jammu and Kashmir and across India. “For the return of the secular idea of India, and for the democratic demands of the people here, everyone must work towards this shared goal,” he said.
He said that this is essential for preserving the foundations upon which the country was built.
Speaking about the challenges ahead, he said that the most important challenge is that people’s hopes have to be fulfilled in terms of governance, and at the same time, their political aspirations must be addressed.
He also said that the government will face opposition from the BJP, whose policies have caused harm to the state. “We need to fight for the people’s rights and undo the damage caused by BJP policies,” he added.
He further said that the alliance will remain focused on the welfare of the people and ensuring their voices are heard in the political process.
