Ganderbal, Apr 16: Tragedy struck on the Ganderbal-Kangan highway as a health department employee was struck by a Tata mobile near Nuner area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district resulting in the on-spot death of its rider.
The incident occurred when a Tata mobile, bearing registration number JK04A/4035, collided with a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction at Nuner area on the Ganderbal-Kangan highway. The collision proved fatal for Khursheed Ahmed Baba, a resident of Buchpora, who tragically lost his life at the scene.
Upon receiving the report Police team reaching the accident site promptly. The victim’s body was respectfully shifted to the district hospital in Ganderbal for further formalities and examinations.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, encompassing both medical examinations and legal procedures to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Tata mobile has been apprehended by the police, pending further inquiries into the tragic event.
