Srinagar, Dec 22: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Friday asked former J&K chief minister Farooq Abdullah to “stop spreading anti-national narrative”.
Paying homage to the martyred Army jawans who died in a terrorist attack in Rajouri, Chugh said instead of standing by the armed forces, Farooq was (acting as) an advocate of terrorists through his social media messages.
“Pakistan-sponsored forces will be decisively defeated in J&K, but it is time Abdullahs, Muftis and Gandhis stop supporting them,” he said.
The BJP leader said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned a new leaf in J&K following which people here have started looking for peace and prosperity.
Farooq Abdullah had said that terrorism has not ended in the Union Territory hours after four army soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack on two military vehicles in the Thanamandi area in the Rajouri sector on Thursday.
Speaking to ANI on Thursday in Srinagar about the latest terror attack, the National Conference President said,”…Even today there is terrorism in J&K, there has just been an incident. Terrorism has not ended.”
“They(Central govt) are only talking about boosting tourism in Kashmir. Even if one tourist gets shot, no one will come here….”, the NC leader warned.
