Srinagar, Mar 13: National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah and Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari have greeted people on the festival of Holi.
In his Holi greetings, Dr Farooq said, “As the colours of the Holi, the cultural diversity of the country also presents a mosaic of hues and that the need of the hour was to celebrate the festival in the best traditions of the country’s pluralistic ethos.”
He prayed that the festival augurs well for the increased prospects of peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in the country and J&K, and Ladakh as well.
NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Provincial Presidents Rattan Lal Gupta, Showkat Mir, Party MPs Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Mian Altaf Ahmad and other party leaders also greeted the people on Holi.
In his message, Apni Party president said, “Holi is a festival of colours and joy. I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone, particularly our Hindu brethren, who celebrate this occasion with deep religious fervor.”
He expressed his hope that the festival would bring happiness to people’s lives and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and harmony across Jammu and Kashmir. “May this vibrant festival foster unity and spread joy among all communities,” he prayed.
