Jammu, Dec 06: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and former minister S. Manjit Singh on Wednesday directed District Jammu cadre and ward members to expedite the public outreach program.
As per a press release, the Former Minister chaired the meeting of District Committee Jammu to discuss the initiatives taken by them to strengthen the Party at the grassroots level within the city and its peripheral areas.
During the meeting, the party leaders held a threadbare discussion on various issues confronted by the people in the wards of Jammu Municipal Limits, and rural areas.
While addressing the meeting, Singh asked the Party leaders to expedite their membership drive as well as a public outreach program to strengthen the party’s roots.
He said that the people are in despair because there is no elected government in Jammu and Kashmir and in this situation, the Apni Party leaders should reach out to the people and listen to their grievances. “We will highlight the issues of public concern before the authorities for their early redressal. The people have lost their faith in the administration and hence, it becomes the duty of the Party cadre to help the people to resolve their issues concerning development etc.,” he said.
Manjit also asked the leaders to educate people about the party’s policy and agenda which promises protection of jobs, land, resources and equitable development for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Apni Party has played a major role in highlighting the issues and getting them addressed by the Government of India whether it was jobs or land,” he said.
Singh asked the party leaders to hold ward-wise meetings with the people in Jammu Municipal limits and highlight the poorly implemented Smart City Project. The meeting was attended by the Jammu district office bearers and Ward In-charges/members.
