Ek Ped Maa Ke Namm campaign launched by KVK G’bl

Ganderbal, Aug 29: KVK Ganderbal, SKUAST-Kashmir organized a plantation drive within the premises of KVK under the “Ek_Ped_Maa_Ke_Naam” cam-paign on Thursday. Dr. Ishfaq Abidi, Chief Scientist & Head along with his team and farmers from different areas of the district planted 23 saplings and distributed 50 plants among the participants. The campaign was launched by the Prime Minister of India on the occasion of World Environment Day, on 5th June 2024. This campaign is a mass movement of Environmentally Con-scious Lifestyle. The Campaign has immense potential for
preventing and reversing land degradation and desertification.
