Dr Jahangir Bakshi is new DHSK

Srinagar August 16: The Health and Medical Education Department on Friday ordered another reshuffle and assigned the charge of Director Health Services Kashmir to Dr Jahangir Bakshi.
“In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather presently looking after the charge of Director, Health Services, Kashmir, is transferred and posted as Director Coordination, New Government Medical Colleges, UT of Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect,” the H&ME said in an order.
Consequent upon above, Dr Jahangir Bakshi, I/C Medical Superintendent, Super Specialty Hospital, Srinagar shall look after the charge of Director, Health Services, Kashmir. Dr Bakshi joined the office of DHSK in Bemina where he was received with a warm welcome in presence of Dr Rather.
The order said that the arrangement made in respect aforesaid doctors is purely on temporary basis and subject to outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before the Court(s) of law and shall not confer any right upon the officer(s) to claim preferential treatment at the time of regularization/placement/promotion which shall be made strictly in accordance with the rules.
