Srinagar, Mar17: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Monday said that discussions are underway to identify alternative routes and widen roads to ease congestion in the city.
Speaking to reporters here at Srinagar, Choudhary said that the increasing population and rising traffic demand better urban planning to ensure smooth movement for residents.
He said that there is need for better planning to ease traffic congestion and improve movement for the growing population.
Choudhary also visited a modern hospital and interacted with doctors and department heads. Acknowledging their contributions, he said that Jammu and Kashmir has skilled medical professionals, but their services have not been fully utilized over the past few years.
He said that steps will be taken to enhance healthcare facilities and maximize the potential of medical professionals in the J&K.
Choudhary said that they are committed to fulfill the promises made to the people. He said that the administration is working as per the directives of National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Addressing concerns about the pace of development, Choudhary requested patience from the public. He said that the government was elected with high expectations and is fully committed to deliver on its promises, but these efforts require time.
He assured that the commitments made in the party’s manifesto and by senior leaders would be fulfilled step by step.
The Deputy CM urged people to allow the government sufficient time to implement its plans effectively, stating that meaningful development cannot happen overnight.
