In a display of unity and sportsmanship, the District Administration Rajouri today organised a friendly match between DC XI and SSP XI in which DC XI emerged victorious against the SSP XI in a thrilling T20 match held at the Sports Stadium Kheora. The match was a significant event organized on the theme of Nasha Mukt Abhiyan to commemorate JK UT Foundation Day.
The match brought together civil administration officers/officials and police administration officers/officials, highlighting the power of sports to bridge gaps and foster camaraderie among different sections of society. Mission Shakti-DHEW Jammu organizes awareness camp for women of Panjgrain, Dansal
JAMMU, OCTOBER 26: Mission Shakti District Hub for Empowerment of Women Jammu on Thursday organised awareness programme on women centric schemes at Village – Panjgrain of block Dansal. The event was held in the presence of Sarpanch, Thoru Ram and Committee Members. The objective of the camp was to sensitize the females of the area about various women centric schemes and services of the govt for their empowerment.
Under the Supervision of District Mission Coordinator Mission Shakti DHEW Jammu, Shagun Manchanda, Khushboo Kapte, Gender Specialist and Sunil Kumar Specialist in Financial Literacy of DHEW Jammu under Mission Shakti noted the Grievances of women and assured them to provide assistance with the help of the concerned Department. The participants were acquainted about various welfare schemes of Govt. of India particularly for women & advised on the need of gender sensitivity to promote equality among genders.
They imparted detailed information to the participants regarding the flagship women centric schemes like scholarship schemes, SMAS (State Marriage Assistance Scheme ,Pension schemes for old age, widow and physically disabled persons.
Eligibility criteria of different pension scheme, procedure to avail the benefits of different Government services & documents required for the enrollment. Schemes like Ladli Beti and Sukanya Yojana for providing financial security to the girls. Emergency helpline numbers for women (181), child (1098), Elder line (14567) Drug De-addiction (14446) were also shared.
