DC Budgam visits Charar-i-Sharief Shrine

Budgam, Dec 18: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Monday visited the Shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani (R.A) at Charar-i-Sharief and inspected the completion of works on integrated Lavatory complex and Wuzukhana, Public Parks and road at the rear side of Chararisharief Shrine.
After paying obeisance at the shrine, the DC took detailed stock of progress of ongoing developmental projects.
It is worth mentioning that the Hon’ble LG had visited the Chararisharief shrine in August where he had directed for immediate completion of all developmental works at Chararisharief shrine.
During inspection of projects, he expressed his satisfaction over the timely construction of integrated toilet block, lavatory and wuzu khana Complex.
Appreciating the concerned for timely work completion on both integrated lavatory Complex and pathway development up to Talab, DC said that the work on lavatory complex was taken up for execution on priority after same was directed by the Hon’ble LG during his visit to Charar-i-Sharief in August- 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that he is happy to witness that work on most of the projects including upgradation of Parks, toilet Block, pathway development has been completed in time for its formal dedication to the public as early as possible. He also thanked the Tourism department and especially, Secretary Tourism for his consistent support and personal monitoring of the projects.
He said that the district administration Budgam is committed to take beautification and development campaigns to all urban and rural areas and ensure projects under execution are completed in a short time across the district.
During the visit, various delegations called upon the DC and raised their demands with him. He gave them patient hearing and assured them that all their genuine issues shall be taken up with the relevant quarters for early redressal.
He said work on other projects including beautification of Shrine complex on front side and other works by tourism department and auqaf including additional mobile toilet complex are also in progress.
Among others, SDM Chadoora, Executive Engineers from different engineering wings and others were also present on the occasion.
 
 
Takes stock of progress on development of New Bus Adda, Chadoora
States it as a major infra project for Chadoora town that will help in its decongestion
The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Monday toured Chadoora Town to take stock of progress in work on New Bus Adda, Chadoora and its connecting approach road and connecting bridge.
DC inspected the construction work of New Bus Terminal, Bridge over Doodganga Nallah connecting New Bus Terminal, boundary wall and approach road constructions.
He said that the New Bus Adda is an important project for Chadoora Town that will help in its decongestion and upgradation. Work on the same is going on in full swing to complete it in a stipulated time frame.
The DC instructed the concerned executing agencies and Revenue authorities to conclude land assessment, disbursement of compensation to the rightful landowners and quick work completion on approach road construction on priority and ensure these projects are completed and dedicated to the public very shortly.
Inspecting construction work on Bridge, the DC stressed that work on the same be expedited and completed in the shortest time period.
On the occasion, the DC said that work on construction of New Bus Terminal including mettle work, side drainage and other related works was also going on in full swing and hopefully the New Bus Adda for Chadoora shall be made functional as early as first half of the next year.
He said the project will help to decongest the Chadoora Town and ensure smooth plying of transport across the Town areas.
He said that District administration Budgam is committed to ensure all ongoing beautification and upgradation projects in all Towns of Budgam are completed in time.
DC further said that the district administration has initiated necessary paperwork on development/ upgradation of Surasyar- Chadoora road project.
He said officers including SDM Chadoora and Executive Engineers from PHE and R&B also conducted a joint inspection of the road project to sort out all inter- departmental issues for its timely upgradation.
He said work on the same shall be started soon.
Among others, SDM Chadoora, Tehsildars, Ex. Engineer PHE, EO, Chadoora and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
