Kargil, Oct 29: Councilor Shargole, Mohammad Javid, demonstrated his commitment to promoting local entrepreneurship by flagging off a group of aspiring entrepreneurs for skill development training in mushroom spawn production technology. The initiative, which aims to empower young and progressive farmers in Shargole block, was made possible through the collaboration with Dr. Mohammad Mehdi, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kargil.
Recognizing the interest of these enthusiastic farmers in mushroom cultivation, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi reached out to Councilor Mohammad Javid for financial support to facilitate their training. The Councilor wholeheartedly appreciated the KVK Kargil team’s efforts in providing essential technical guidance for mushroom cultivation in his constituency.
In an effort to further bolster this initiative, Councilor Mohammad Javid requested the Head of KVK Kargil to organize an exposure-cum-hands-on training program on spawn production. This training would be conducted in a well-equipped laboratory to enhance the entrepreneurs’ skills and knowledge.
Head KVK Kargil wasted no time in taking the matter to the Directorate of Agriculture, Kashmir, seeking their assistance in arranging a special training session for the entrepreneurs of Kargil. With the necessary approvals secured from the Director of Agriculture, Kashmir, and the unwavering support of the Head KVK, Councilor Mohammad Javid took the initiative to cover the transportation and boarding costs for the trainees.
The enthusiastic team of entrepreneurs was officially flagged off from the KVK Kargil Office in the presence of Councilor Mohammad Javid and the dedicated KVK Kargil team. This collaborative effort reflects the commitment of local leaders and agricultural experts to empower the community and promote sustainable agricultural practices, fostering economic growth and skill development in the region.
