Kulgam, Sept 13: Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kulgam has taken the initiative to establish a district-level control room to ensure the unhindered movement of fruit-laden trucks within the district.
According to the government order the Area Marketing Officer of Kulgam, shall be the nodal point of the control room and will engage local fruit growers, transporters, and a vigilant monitoring committee.
The move is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and coordination in the transportation of fruits from the district.
“In view of the forthcoming fruit season, a District level control room is hereby established in the District for hassle-free movement of fruit trucks in the District.”
The control room will be manned by a team of six officers, comprising Viqar Ah Giri (Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam), GM Bhat (Additional Superintendent of Police, Headquarter, Kulgam), Ali Mohd (HQA to Deputy Commissioner), Abrar Ah Kraipak (Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Kulgam), Mohammad Arif (Area Marketing Officer), and Nisar Ahmad Ganie (District Level SMS, Horticulture).
The DC has issued directives for the control room to actively engage local fruit growers in the district, aiming to facilitate seamless transportation of fruit-laden trucks. Additionally, he has emphasized the importance of submitting a daily report to his office, ensuring comprehensive oversight of operations.
