New Delhi, Jan 28: Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Vikar Rasool Wani, JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, Nawang Ringzin Zora, and Asgar Ali Karbalai attended a Congress Screening Committee meeting in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Congress leaders briefed Solanki on the political scenario and ongoing organizational activities in Jammu & Kashmir. They presented their suggestions to strengthen the party in the region, the party said in a statement issued here.
Bhakta Charan Das advised the leaders to unite against the BJP’s policies, particularly those deemed anti-people and anti-youth. He urged them to focus on upcoming Parliament elections and emphasized the need to be among the people to address their problems.
Neeraj Dangi, in his address, criticized the BJP’s rule as one of “mismanagement, immense despair, and agony.” He highlighted the suffering of the common people due to the government’s policies and claimed that the Modi government’s functioning revolves around disorientation and false propaganda.
Solanki encouraged party leaders to unite against the BJP’s policies, stressing the importance of strengthening the Congress at the grassroots. He criticized the BJP’s “misgovernance”, blaming the government for failing to tackle rising prices and address public grievances. Solanki supported the demand for the restoration of statehood to Jammu & Kashmir and accused the BJP government of being a total failure, especially in employment generation.
JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani slammed the BJP for dividing and downgrading J&K into a Union Territory. He said the Congress is committed to fighting against what he called BJP’s vendetta politics. He criticized the Central government for the “unprecedented price hike, record unemployment, and failure to address the grievances of the people of J&K”.
Raman Bhalla, JKPCC Working President, claimed that people want a change as the BJP has failed on all fronts, including unchecked price rise, record unemployment, and anti-youth, anti-poor policies. He accused the BJP of pursuing anti-employee, anti-trade, and anti-farmer policies. “Congress has been at the forefront of opposing such policies,” he said and criticized the government for failing to provide employment to the educated unemployed youth.
