SRINAGAR, OCT 18: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a significant review meeting at the Civil Secretariat to assess the developmental progress and performance of various government departments across Jammu and Kashmir. Emphasizing transparency and accountability, the Chief Minister underscored the government’s commitment to effective governance.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Minister for Health & Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo; Minister for Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmad Rana; Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Javid Ahmad Dar; Minister for Consumer Affairs, Transport, and IT, Satish Sharma; Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani; Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, and administrative secretaries.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo provided a comprehensive briefing on the achievements, ongoing projects, and deadlines of various departments. The discussions also focused on strategies to enhance service delivery and governance across the region.
The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of meeting deadlines and urged cabinet colleagues to actively monitor their departments. “The reviews will help us understand our current standing and enable us to move forward effectively,” he said.
Omar Abdullah further announced that his office would conduct direct reviews of departments under his purview to ensure comprehensive oversight. “The government is committed to fostering a transparent and accountable administration, and it is vital that all departments work together to deliver development benefits to the grassroots level,” he added.
