Burglary case solved in Baramulla, accused arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday has solved a burglary case by arresting an accused in Kunzer area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and stolen property worth lacs recovered from his possession. 

 

A police Spokesperson said, “On 28th January, 2023 Police Station Kunzer received a complaint from one Aijaz Ahmad Zargar S/O Mohd Akbar resident of Chichiloora Kunzer stating therein that during intervening nights of 27th & 28th January-2023, some unknown burglars broke open the lock of his mobile shop located in main market Kunzer and stole mobile phones and other accessories.”

 

To this effect Police Station Kunzer registered Case FIR number 06/2023 under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.

 

“During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Sahil Ahmad Ganie S/O Abdul Rehman Ganie R/O Ratnipora Payeen Watalpora Kunzar was identified and was called for questioning. After thorough interrogation, he confessed that he has committed theft and, upon his disclosure, stolen mobile phones and other accessories worth lacs was recovered from his possession and he was taken into custody immediately”, he said.

 

Following recoveries were made which includes I phone 11 -03, I phone XR -02, IPhone X -01, I phone 8 plus -01, I phone 8 -02, I phone SE 2020 -01 Bluetooth- 01, Cable 01, iPhone cable- 02.
