Budgam, Dec 19: Head of International Centre for Peace Studies (ICPS ) and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Khalid Jehangir on Tuesday said that books play an important role in shaping up the lives of individuals.
Jehangir inaugurated the Tagore Library cum study centre, an initiative started by Altaf Hussain and Majid Ali, at Budgam today.
While addressing the gathering he said, “Study centres like this encourage youngsters to cultivate reading habits.” He underlined the role of books in opening one’s windows to the world.
He pledged support to the study centre.
