District Magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya, on Wednesday chaired the weekly Block Diwas programme at the SDM Office Chowki Choura, where he interacted with the public and their representatives to listen to their issues and demands.

The programme, which was also attended by DDC member Suresh Sharma and other senior officers, aimed to provide a platform to the people to voice their concerns and aspirations directly to the authorities and seek redressal of their grievances.

One of the major issues projected was the land acquisition and compensation process. Another issue that was brought to the attention of the DM was the teaching staff requirement and the upgrading of infrastructure of the Higher Secondary School Chowki Choura and other local schools.

The poor mobile network connectivity was another major grievance raised by the public. The issue of provision of ration cards was pointed out by some members of the public. The health facilities and their accessibility was another hot topic of discussion.
