Block Diwas: DC Kulgam listens to public issues

Kulgam, Feb 01: To take a firsthand appraisal of issues and grievances of people, the District Administration Kulgam on Wednesday organized mega grievance redressal camps in three blocks of the district – Devsar, Kulgam and D H Pora.
The programme was attended by PRIs and the general public who highlighted issues and grievances confronting their areas for early redressal.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where issues and grievances of people were listened to for redressal. The officers from the district administration who were present during the Block Diwas also responded to the grievances flagged off by people.
People from Brazloo Jageer, Bolsoo, Narsingpora, Gudder, Mahipora and various other areas participated in the grievances redressal camp and put up various issues of public importance including developmental requirements of their areas. The DC gave a patient hearing to the public issues and assured early redressal. Some of the issues were redressed on spot.
The people were apprised that Gram Sabhas are being conducted in all panchayats and were urged to proactively participate to prioritize the works/ developmental requirements of their areas.
Earlier, ACD Mohammad Imran Khan briefed the DC about action taken on the grievances and issues raised by people during the previous block diwas. 
Meanwhile, the Block Diwas function was also held at Devsar and D. H. Pora where ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather and SDM Noorabad Bashir ul Hasaan listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
