New Delhi, May 06:In an exclusive with Times Now & Times Now Navbharat, Prime Minister NarendraModi revealed candid perspectives on critical national issues. The interview holds particular significance as it precedes the third phase of elections, pivotal for both the BJP and PM Modi’s home state of Gujarat.
Responding to accusations of dictatorship, Prime Minister Modi rebutted by comparing historical actions of Congress and BJP. “Suppose, there are 100 points that define dictatorship. Let’s write Congress on one side and BJP on the other. Who ticks boxes of dictatorship? What did his grandmother do, put a tick next to it, then put a tick next to what leaders of Modi’s party did, put a tick mark next to what his great grandfather did. Their government would come and sit in newsrooms. Will they ever debate this? What was Nehru Ji’s first amendment to the Constitution. During the Emergency, journalists would write poems about atrocities, sitting in jail,” he remarked. “I believe that out of these 100 points, not a single allegation that they level on, not even a germ against us will come out to be true. This city, it is because of this city that we are fully democratic. Democracy runs through our veins,” he affirmed.
Delving into the contentious issues of Article 370 and Ram Mandir, PM Modi reiterated the BJP’s unwavering resolve. “Even during AtalBihari Vajpayee’s government, our manifesto included the Ram Mandir and the abrogation of Article 370,” he asserted. “The pending work will be featured, and those completed will not be featured in the manifesto,” he clarified. “Every community and religion will be covered. It is a guarantee of social justice, a guarantee of secularism,” he affirmed.
Expressing his confidence in India’s democratic resilience, PM Modi dismissed concerns about foreign interference in elections. “People of India will not get influenced,” he asserted. “The lamp flickers before it extinguishes. This is the flickering, as they know they will soon be left in the dark,” he declared.
Reflecting on his profound connection with Varanasi, PM Modi emotionally recounted his journey. “Today, after 10 years, I can say that Maa Ganga has adopted me,” he expressed. Speaking about his mother, he shared, “This is the first election of my life when I will go to file nomination without touching my mother’s feet,” he revealed.
Looking ahead, PM Modi outlined his plans for the future. “I have a roadmap for the third term also,” he stated. “My 100 days plan is ready,” he affirmed. “I do not want my nation to suffer even a little,” he emphasized.
