New Delhi, Sept 27: Under the National Membership Campaign – 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Front organised a membership drive at Dargah Hazrat Matka Shah Baba in Delhi.
The event, led by Sajjada-Nasheen Shahid Abbasi, saw a huge turnout, with hundreds of Muslim community members joining the BJP, the Front said in a statement issued here.
National President of the Minority Front, Jamal Siddiqui, attended as the chief guest and highlighted the campaign’s aim of enrolling 50 lakh members nationwide. “The Minority Front is actively engaging with minority communities across the country, and there is a palpable enthusiasm to join the BJP,” he said, adding that many Muslim brothers and sisters expressed their confidence in the Modi government and its initiatives during the event.
Siddiqui said the increasing participation of the Muslim community in the BJP reflects a growing belief in the party’s commitment to “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.
Delhi State Minority Front President Anish Abbasi praised the campaign’s success in Delhi, saying the huge number of new memberships from the Muslim community demonstrates the party’s genuine outreach efforts.
The event was also attended by various leaders, including National Vice President S.M. Akram, and General Secretary Faisal Mansoori, among others, who reiterated their commitment to fostering unity and development within the community.
