Kulgam, June 22: An orientation cum standard writing competition was held on Saturday at Kendriya Vidyalaya Aminoo, Kulgam, engaging student members of the BIS standard club.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who competed under the guidance of resource person Mahak Rasool. Rasool delivered an in-depth lecture covering the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), its core activities, the ISI mark, hallmarking, the BIS care app, and the compulsory registration scheme, equipping students with essential knowledge for the competition.
The event, deemed fruitful and successful by organizers, concluded with the distribution of cash prizes to the top four winners. The first position received Rs 1000, the second Rs 750, the third Rs 500, and the fourth Rs 250. These awards were presented by the Principal, Manish Shokeen.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) funded the event, while Er. Vikas Kumar and science teacher Anurag coordinated arrangements such as refreshments and stationery. The event’s success was further bolstered by the support of other staff members.
