Rajouri, April 23, 2025 — Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) today held a condolence meeting followed by a peace march to express solidarity with the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. The event reflected the collective grief and condemnation of the university community against this senseless act of violence.

In his address, Prof. Jawaid Iqbal said, “This tragic incident has shaken us deeply. As an academic institution committed to peace and humanity, BGSBU stands in solidarity with the families of the victims. We denounce terrorism in all its forms and pledge to promote harmony and resilience.”

The peace march, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, began at the IT Hall and concluded at Sabrung Square, where participants observed a two-minute silence in memory of the victims. The march was joined by Prof. M. J. Warsi, Dean Academic Affairs, along with faculty members, officers, and staff of the university.
