Ganderbal, Nov 11: Saturday marked the successful conclusion of the second round of Back to Village Phase-5 (B2V-5) in 39 Panchayats of Ganderbal district. The program witnessed widespread public participation, highlighting the community’s optimism in the District Administration’s efforts to foster progress, development, and prosperity in the region.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, and Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri actively participated in the B2V-5 program at Nagbal Panchayat. Local residents expressed appreciation for the district administration’s initiatives and shared various issues of public importance with the ADDC.
During interactions with the locals, the ADDC acknowledged the robust public participation and reiterated the administration’s dedication to empowering the people, actively involving them in policy-making for their development.
On the second day, visiting officers, supported by staff and field functionaries, engaged in Gram Sabhas, listening to villagers and crafting the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) in alignment with their aspirations.
Notably, the B2V-5 program has covered 85 Panchayats out of 126 during two rounds, with the third round set to commence on November 14, encompassing the remaining Panchayats in the district.
