Awareness Programme on Mission Yuva held at GCW Udhampur

Udhampur, Dec 04: Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur under the aegis of IQAC in collaboration with Labour and Employment Department UT of Jammu and Kashmir conducts an awareness program on Mission YUVA a flagship programme of Govt of UT of Jammu and Kashmir at college campus here on Wednesday.
The program started with the formal welcome of the chief guest by
Principal of the college Dr. Nalini Pathania.
Pawan Kumar Parihar, Special Secretary to Govt Labour and
Employment Department , the chief guest and key resource person while
speaking highlighted the importance of Mission Yuva in equipping young
minds with essential skills and opportunities for self-employment.
He urged the youth to adopt a proactive approach to knowledge-based
learning and to immerse themselves in innovation, skill development,
and entrepreneurial endeavors. Adding on he elaborated the four
pillars of this Mission i.e 4C’s including Culture, Capital, Capacity
and Connectivity.
Culture means inflicting the entrepreneur idea and
spreading awareness among the masses, in the capital component the
govt will provide subsidized loan for investment, the third c is
capacity building in the component free of cost training would be
provided to the entrepreneurs which would sharpen their skills. The
fourth c is Connectivity which will provide a global market for the
enterprises.
Dr Vishal Sharma Nodal Officer YUVA Higher Education Department in his highly informative talk talked about the key points of DPR preparation
for the budding entrepreneurs.
The program ended with the vote of thanks by Pardeep Singh Nodal
officer YUVA Mission GCW Udhampur and convener college YUVA committee.
The entire proceeding of the programme was conducted by Miss Ateeka
Naaz an UG Sem – 1 student.
The programme was attended by around 200 students and faculty members including Dr. Indu Khajuria, Dr Geetanjali Rajput, Prof Lekh Raj, Dr. Mool Raj, Dr. Shivani Suri Verma, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Dr Ravinder Kumar, Prof Yash Kumar, Dr. Om Parkash, Dr. Sarbjeet Kour, Dr. Anita Sharma, Prof. Manju Bala, Prof. Pooja Bharti, Prof Simran khajuria and other faculty members of the College.
