Srinagar, Feb 25: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravinder Raina has called for a six-month period to allow the National Conference (NC) government to take significant decisions, saying the public should wait for two more months before questioning its performance.
Speaking to KNS, Raina said, “We should give the NC government time of six months to make some big decisions. People have given the mandate, and we should wait for two more months. I guess then people will start asking questions if they do not deliver in six months.”
Expressing his strong stance against substance abuse, he reiterated his support for a complete ban on alcohol and drugs. “I am personally in support of a complete ban on alcohol and drugs. Even I had submitted a bill in the assembly for that,” Raina said.
The BJP leader expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would fulfill their commitment to restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir at the appropriate time. “I am sure PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah will fulfill their promise of statehood at the right time,” he added.
