Jammu, Aug 06: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday organised a program here in Peer Kho, the old city of Jammu to celebrate the abrogation of Article 370.
BJP leader and Councillor Ward No 3, Narotam Sharma, welcomed the senior party functionaries including Ravinder Raina, President BJP J&K unit and Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Rajinder Sharma Mayor Jammu, Yudhveer Sethi vice president BJP, Priya Sethi former minister and other prominent personalities.
Mahant Keshav Shukla of Peer Kho temple also attended the program and blessed the gathering. During the program, all the participants called the abrogation of Article 370 as the beginning of a new chapter in the history of India and positive change in J&K politics, the party said in a statement.
The fourth anniversary of the construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya was also celebrated with the chants of Lord Ram. Besides, a book titled ‘Political Truth of Jammu and Kashmir’ written by Dr Jeevan Dhar was released by the prominent BJP leaders.
Kuldeep Sharma, Sarooj Gupta, Anuradha Sharma, Amit Khanna, Sanjay Sharma, Lucky Mehra and Sudhir also graced the occasion.
