Srinagar, Sep 05: The All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) candidate for the Central Shalteng assembly constituency, Indumeet Singh has reiterated the committee’s appeal to the members of majority community to vote and support him so that the message of brotherhood and amity emanates from Kashmir valley. Singh said that the same will negate the propaganda of the elements who have been defaming Kashmiris for being anti-national and communal.
Singh who submitted his nomination form today said that the people should reject the traditional political parties and give a chance to the APSCC backed candidates so that there is a mitigation of their problems. He said it is imperative to send a message to the outside world that Kashmiris are peace loving and believe in co-existence adding that the same is possible only when Sikhs are elected on three seats of Kashmir where they are fighting the elections.
APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said that although Sikhs suffered huge economic losses in the past three decades no step was taken to provide them relief. He said that Sikh youth were denied jobs under a job package sanctioned for the non-migrant people of Kashmir.
Raina said that since the political parties have ditched the masses in the past, time for change has come. He said that Sikh candidates should be given a chance so that they mitigate the problems of youth and take steps to give due rights to the community members.
