Srinagar, May 06: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday said that his party will change the scenario of Jammu and Kashmir for a brighter future.
“People have maintained peace and tranquillity in J&K for four years, and I am sure they will reap the economic and political advantages of this peace,” he said while addressing a party public rally in the Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
People, mostly from the Sikh community, thronged the rally and warmly welcomed Bukhari and his accompanying leaders upon their arrival at the venue, the party said in a statement issued here.
Addressing the gathering, Bukhari applauded the role of the people in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the valley for the past several years, especially after August 05, 2019.
“The entire Jammu and Kashmir has suffered due to the long phase of violence here. We have seen deaths and bloodshed everywhere in Jammu and Kashmir during the past more than three decades, but the Tral is one of those places that suffered the most. However, I congratulate the people who contributed their efforts to peace and tranquillity here during the past few years, especially after August 5, 2019. And, I am sure that people will reap the economic and political benefits of peace,” he said, adding, “The Apni Party will change the scenario of Jammu and Kashmir for its brighter future, as we are committed to ensuring political and economic empowerment of the people.”
He appealed to people to support and vote for Apni Party in the Lok Sabha polls. He said, “I request that you give Apni Party a chance to serve you. We will not let you down, instead, our members will represent your sentiments in the parliament.”
He urged people not to vote for the same parties who have been “deceiving” them through their “deceptive narratives” and “provocative slogans”.
He said the Apni Party is committed to striving for permanent peace, enduring prosperity, and equal development in Jammu and Kashmir.”
“We will ensure peace with dignity, a brighter future for our youth, infrastructure development, and the creation of employment opportunities,” he said.
