Budgam, May 01: The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party’s Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Wednesday said if any party has a roadmap to bring Article 370 back, the JKAP will join and support them.
Speaking to the reporters here in the Khag area, Mir said that the Indira-Sheikh Accord and the Rajiv-Farooq Accord were signed by the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference with the Central government. “What kind of benefits did the people of Jammu and Kashmir get from these agreements? If they have benefited from these accords, I will salute the NC,” he said.
“When the Rajiv-Farooq was held, the election was rigged and militancy was started in the Kashmir Valley, and when the Indira-Sheikh Accord was signed, it was also mentioned that Article 370 is temporary for Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Mir said the Apni Party was founded four years ago and they will support “our friends” in the Baramulla parliamentary constituency.
”We also want Article 370 to get restored to Jammu and Kashmir. When the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration was founded, we asked them to show the roadmap. Why do they misguide the people in the name of Article 370?” he said.
G H Mir said the Apni Party is not part of any alliance in these parliamentary elections. “We want to work for the welfare of the people. Under the leadership of Altaf Bukhari, we have brought protection and security to the jobs and land in Jammu and Kashmir. It was not possible to do it at that time, but we did this for the welfare of our people even though we have not come to power yet,” he said.
