Jammu, Nov 14: The sports week included various sports like Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Squash, Badminton, Chess and Carrom. Today’s closing ceremony was kept for games between faculty of GMC Jammu & the Students. The faculty members also witnessed the finals for various
games like Badminton and Volleyball.
The faculty whole-heartedly participated in the events, won various accolades for their enthuasiam and cheered
for the all the teams.
Games included for the events were Tug of war, Lemon Race, Skipping, Athletics and many more. Principal, Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma said, “This sports week has been very eventful and it was dedicated to Late Dr.Ritu Gupta, Professor, Department of Physiology.” Who was an epitome of Sincerity & dedication to the Medical Profession. Furthermore, she said,” We will continue to hold such events at regular intervals so that the energy of our young Medicos is channelised.
Further, the sports complex will always be open for students to continue practising after the study hours and refresh their minds from the hectic schedule of Medical curriculum.” The event concluded by observing 2 minutes of silence in honour of the loving memory of Dr.Ritu Gupta.
