BJP candidate for the Srigufwara-Bijbehara Assembly Constituency, Sofi Yousuf, on Tuesday emphasised the party’s focus on development and the positive impact of the centre’s policies since 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to reporters, Yousuf praised PM Modi’s leadership, stating, “Under PM Modi, we have achieved significant progress in Jammu & Kashmir. Since the changes on August 5, 2019, we have seen a reduction in stone-pelting incidents, cross-firing, and separatist activities.”
Yousuf highlighted improvements in everyday life, saying, “Today, common people are living more comfortably. Tourists, hoteliers, labourers, and shopkeepers are all witnessing the benefits of our development efforts. There is a growing appreciation for PM Modi and his work among the people.”
