Srinagar, Apr 30: The Jammu and Kashmir government has asked Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to begin working from the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar from May 5, 2025.
As per the order, the decision was taken after a recent Council of Ministers meeting.
“To ensure smooth and effective functioning of official work, all Administrative Secretaries and UT-level Heads of Departments are directed to be present at the Civil Secretariat Srinagar starting Monday, May 5,” reads an order.
However, the officers will continue visiting the Jammu Secretariat whenever required for work, the order mentioned.
Each department will handle the arrangement of their support staff, and the Estates Department has been asked to provide accommodation for officers and employees based on requests from respective departments, it added.
